Mr. January

Stripes is going to be Mr. January at the Cat Clinic here in Stillwater. He is such a sweetie! His housemate, Smokie, was hiding under the bed and didn't want to have his picture taken... Stripes loves to play with strings and ribbons. He's very warm and cuddly and loves a good belly rub!

Missy
Here is Missy, waiting in the window for me to come and give her shot to her. She's diabetic and the most adorable and lovey kittie! She hops up on the table ready for her insulin medication. She has several kittie housemates who are pretty good at hiding!

A Pretty "Lady"

This is Lady! She is a beautiful American Bulldog. We only had a couple of visits, but she is such a sweet girl, I hope we'll have many more. She has her own "chair" in the house and loves to cuddle with her chairmate, whomever it is! Lady has a cute pink nose and  is quite affectionate. We went for a couple of long walks and these pictures show her beauty.

Christmas Tree Climber

Caesar
This is Caesar. He is a Christmas tree climber. Yep, he knocked down his owners' tree several times while they were gone! He looks pretty innocent, huh?

The other cats are Spice and Juice. I'm pretty sure they were cohorts in the tree destruction!

Juice
Spice
Of course, the dogs, Cena and Koby, didn't have anything to do with it. I'm sure they had a pretty good chuckle when the cats were scolded, though!

Waiting for dinner
The dogs have learned to sit patiently and wait for their dinner to be placed before them and they are so well-behaved!

Koby got to come over a few times to play with Pete while Cena and I took walks through the neighborhood and by Boomer Lake. Juice is usually a little "hissy" with me, but after seeing me a couple of times a day for several days, he finally allows me to pet him. Spice and he are good friends and I found them curled up next to each other a few times.

Duke and his Duchess, Bailey

Bailey

Duke is my wonderful Great Dane friend. His Duchess is my sweet Bailey the German Shepherd. They are great friends and playmates. They like going out in the backyard looking for squirrels and going for walks.

They got to open gifts Christmas morning and both got new rope-n-ball toys. They loved them! We had lots of time to play with their new toys.

Shady Pup

Shady is a sweet puppy. He is VERY talented at catching a ball in the air. For a puperoni he will run, and I mean disappear, into his crate! Such a great guy... he enjoyed smelling everything on his walks and tummy rubs. He is very affectionate and kissy!
Sssslurrrrrrppp!

Taking a walk

Blue Dogs

On a walk
Meet Tasi and Bullet, the blue dogs. They are beautiful Aussie-mix dogs who have a great family that went out of town for Christmas. The family is home now from the snowy north and the dogs are so happy to have them back. While their family was away, Tasi and Bullet enjoyed fireside snuggles, poolside playing, and sparkly Christmas light-lit walks.
Tasi "smiles" at you, but I could never get a picture of her doing it because she is constantly in motion! She has long, flowy fur and makes me smile just watching her run! Bullet is a firmly built, strong dog.

Bullet
He has cute stand-up ears and jumps straight up and down when he wants to go outside. He is a snuggle-bug and loves to have his neck scratched. I enjoyed house-sitting for their family as well - enjoying the fireplace was my favorite!

Merry Christmas!

Before the busy-ness of our holiday pet sitting sets in, I would like to take a moment to thank God for his blessings. I have been blessed with a great family, good friends, sweet animals, and TWO jobs! I am so grateful for the opportunity to help others and their pets during times that they will be away from home. Thank you to my customers for believing in me and my services and for those who have helped me along the way. Bless you!

A Charlie (White) Christmas

Charlie
Ellie's Bed & Biscuit had a sweet whiskered visitor this weekend named Charlie. He had just recently been to his groomer (the wonderful Pretty Paws in Stillwater) before coming over to our house. He was a fluffy, friendly sort and he and Pete got along famously. There were a few tries by both dogs to prove who was the more "manly" of the two (if you own a male dog, you know to what I'm referring...), and both boys agreed that they were equally spoiled rotten by their families!

Pete and Charlie played outdoors a lot, and because it was quite chilly, we put on jackets to go on our walks. Here they are dressed up for warmth. After a big walk, it was time for Charlie to take a nap on his puffy pillow bed.

The weekend rounded out by taking Christmas portraits of both dogs. Charlie wore a sparkly holiday scarf while Pete donned a sparkly bow tie. I think you'll agree that they both looked seasonably jolly!

Meowt of Town Guest

This past weekend, Ellie's Bed & Biscuit hosted a beautiful kittie friend, Bunny. She is super-cuddly and loves to be held like a baby! For the bulk of her stay (about 10 days), she kept to herself in the sunny "Lauren Suite." I caught her more than once lounging in the sunshine, belly side up! She liked Pete quite a bit, but was not impressed that she had to share her digs with the house cats, Sox and Gus. We hope Bunny has a wonderful Christmas with her human and doggy family in Mannford.

Kodiak, The Lickmeister

Kodiak is the beautiful Alaskan Malamute that I see on a weekly basis because his mom works a 24 hour shift sometimes. He loves to play tug of war with his stuff-less skunk, and sniff all around the apartment complex where he lives. Here he is with his mighty tongue slurping and getting ready to give me a big kiss!

A Walk in the Park

Yesterday, I got a call from a client. Her husband was going to spend another night in the hospital from a bad infection (Poor Kyle!) and the dogs hadn't been on a walk for a few days. I was able to take Koby over to my house and play with Pete for a half hour before I took him and Cena for a walk around Boomer Lake. We were lucky that they day was so pretty! Lots of joggers passed us by and several people commented on how well behaved the dogs were. Koby is learning "heel" and we practiced it a bit. Cena is mesmerized by the ducks! He just stood soooo still to watch them waddling toward the lake. Check out their new leashes! Thanks for a great afternoon guys!

Bed & Biscuit Fun

This past weekend, Pete and I hosted our friend, Henry! He came on Friday night and stayed with us though Sunday evening. They wore each other out playing outside and inside.

We even went on a long walk through the beautiful neighborhood. Pete seemed to "swim" through the giant piles of leaves in yards where we visited our regular fenced-in friends.

Henry is a doll-baby. He "talks" a lot with different woo-oooo sounds and is still mighty curious about the cats. Sox put him in his place a couple of times when Henry cornered her in the kitchen!

Sweet Sisters

To see these two dogs interact, you would think they really were litter mates. Maggie, the black and white lady is a more "mature" Cocker spaniel. Her sib, Molly, was a rescue. They take good care of each other. Their family went on a short vacation to celebrate their friend's birthday, so I got to visit the two girls twice a day! We snuggled on the couch and the dogs received many caring pets and ear rubs. Talk about soft ears! These two have cornered the market on them! Molly especially loved her walkabouts in the back yard near some trees. She has a keen sense of hearing and every leaf blowing through the trees caught her attention.

Maggie eats a specially cooked meal each day because of her delicate system. Her "mom" makes a delicious combination of beef, veggies, and rice for her. They have the coolest doggie door in dogdom! It is remotely controlled by sensors on the dogs' collars!

I was just glad that I had a key, because I think the door would close down on my big behind trying to get through there! The girls enjoyed a beautiful early winter weekend, especially their Christmas tree lovingly decorated by their human family.

Northern Lights Family

Cena
Over Thanksgiving weekend, I got to meet a wonderful family that moved here from North Dakota. Pet parents are a sweet young couple with loving attitudes towards their whiskered babies. Cena (named after John Cena the WWE wrestler) is a border collie mix with the deepest, sweetest, brown eyes! You could just melt into those puddles of love! He had been injured by a dog bite a few days before his pet parents left, so I made sure to give him extra TLC. Cena loves belly rubs, chewing and being the center of attention.

Koby is the pup of the bunch. He is mostly Catahoula Leopard Hound and has the softest fur ever!

Koby
A Walk by the Lake
Koby loves to play tug of war, sneak cat food snacks, and play with Cena. Both dogs enjoyed our many walks, especially around Boomer Lake and our field trip to Petco!

These special dogs also have 3 cat friends who live with them. Juice is the leader of the cat pack. He is pensive when you first meet him, and it took 6 or 7 visits to their home before he let me pet him without hissing! He has beautiful long fur and makes sure Koby doesn't sneak too much cat food! Ceasar is an orange tabby. He was a little shy in the beginning, but after a couple of sneaky looks around corners, he finally accepted me as a friend.

Ceasar
I was so glad, because I miss my sweet orange tabby best buddy, Taffy. Ceasar reminded me of Taffy's loving spirit.

The friendliest cat in the family is Spice. She is a calico beauty! She was immediately my friend; purring and rubbing up against me when I prepared food.

I am looking forward to taking care of these whiskered friends in the future and seeing the dogs and their pet parents at Doggy Play Dates on the OSU Library Lawn. Maybe we'll see you there, too!
